For Their Thoughts Foundation was founded out of love and the burning desire to better the lives of those impacted by dementia. We strive to support the researchers racing for a cure by bringing worldwide awareness and advocacy to the public. My mother, Mary, was diagnosed at the age of 56 with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), a form of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The doctors had no medical treatment to cure our mother, so my family and I treated our mother with tender loving care for five agonizing years. The information on our website and within our publications are meant to provide everyone an opportunity to support, learn, and get involved in a community. Some information may not be suitable for all dementia patients or caregivers and does not replace medical expertise.
