MOVE For Your Thoughts
- In honor or memory of our loved ones impacted by dementia.
- For your own brain health
Studies show that people who are physically active can decrease their stress and are less likely to experience a decline in their mental function. So let's create a community and move together for 35 days.
GOAL
Our goal is to move around the world as a community while bringing awareness to dementia and the importance of brain health. Proceeds will go toward increasing awareness and providing relief for family caregivers taking care of their loved ones with dementia.
IMPACT
- Promoting brain and physical health
- Raising awareness and understanding for the dementia community
- Raising funds to help families caring for their loved ones with dementia TODAY.
Proceeds go to our “Care for the Caregivers” Relief Program: a one-time grant to bring financial and emotional relief to families caring for their loved ones with dementia as they go through what may be the hardest time in their life. See the MoveFTT 3.0 Impact and Results here.
HOW IT WORKS
We like to call this a "reverse" fundraiser. First priority is awareness.
- Challenge yourself to move at least one mile a day for 35 consecutive days (5 weeks).
- Pay $5 Entry Fee + $35 deposit up front.
- Earn $1 back for every day you move at least a mile. Every mile missed is a $1 donation.
HOW TO GET STARTED
- STEP 1: REGISTER as an INDIVIDUAL or as a TEAM!
- STEP 2: New movers - Set up a FREE Strava App account on your mobile device
- STEP 3: New movers - Join the MoveFTT Club within Strava
